All the fun of Thrive Forest School packed into 5 days! Woodland art, critter hikes, forest music, log crossing, puddle splashing, structure building, and friend-making fun!

As with forest preschool, we follow a child-led, play-based model. We work with what nature gives us (sun! rain! mud!) and embrace it all. Our motto is “Your child will come home dirty or your money back!” So far, no refunds have been issued ;).

Camp is open to children 3 to 6 years of age who are potty proficient and able to follow teacher direction.

Upon completion of your payment you will receive a confirmation email directing you to a registration form. Your child is not confirmed for camp until payment is made, registration is completed, and notification from Thrive is received that your session is booked. Registration fees are refundable until 30 days prior to the start of the camp session, after which time no refunds will be made. Thank you for Thriving with us!

------COVID-19 UPDATE--------

Our small class sizes, low child-to-teacher ratio, and vast forest classrooms all add up to what we feel will be an unforgettable and safe camp experience. Many studies have shown the benefit of being outside during this time, and Thrive Camp is held outside all day, every day, in all weather! Here is a brief overview of how we intend to create an unforgettable camp experience while striving to provide the safest environment possible for your child and family:

  • Small class sizes (max 11 children) with two teachers
  • Teachers will wear masks/bandanas during any necessary close contact with a camper
  • Campers will not wear masks due to suffocation concerns and the fact that our camp is held outside all day
  • We will sanitize any shared objects (e.g., shovels) between uses, or not offer shared tools at all
  • Camp will be held entirely outside unless there is hazardous weather, at which time shelter will be taken in our Nature Center with plenty of ventilation and social distancing until the weather clears and camp can resume outside
  • Snacks will be pre-packaged for each camper
  • Campers will be asked to sanitize their hands at regular points during the day
  • Parents will drop children off at designated times and drop-off spots to minimize any interactions between families
  • Social distancing will be encouraged though not strictly enforced, as there is a balance to be had between minimizing transmission risk and impact on the camp experience. If your child or family is considered high-risk please weigh the benefits of camp against your own health precautions. Studies have shown that transmission risks are very low in outdoor settings with plenty of space, moving air, and sunshine, which are all things that are built into Thrive and make it such a special camp experience.
